Par 4 Parvin
The Par 4 Parvin golf tournament started in 2009 as a senior project for high school. It has always been our mission to encourage youth to use their voice and talents to effect change for a better future. Several other young people have since taken it on as well, and it has gained momentum over the years. This year marks the 8th year for this exciting event, so please come out and help us make this the best year so far!
Each foursome gets to play an entire round of golf. We provide lunch, beverages while on the course, and our signature lobster dinner at the end of the day. There will be music to set the mood. The event wraps up with a drawing of raffle items. These items range from golf related items, cigar paraphernalia, toys, culinary goodies, gadgets, jewelry, to gift certificates and event tickets. Everyone has a chance to be a winner, on or off the course. The proceeds from this event, along with the proceeds from The Sarah Parvin 24 Hour Memorial SoccerFest, have made a real difference over the last nine years since the creation of the Sarah Parvin Foundation. We have raised over $350,000.00, and we are not done yet. We take great pride in our ability to donate each year to support the Sarah Parvin Fund for Ovarian Cancer Research through Jefferson University Hospital. We work closely with Dr. Jonathan Brody, and his team of dedicated research doctors. They have been working tirelessly on advanced therapies to combat Ovarian Cancer and the funds that we raise through these events is getting them closer and closer to bringing their research to clinical trials. The researchers even come out to this event and golf right along with us! They are more than happy to help spread the word that our collective efforts are gaining ground towards winning the fight!
They are there to let us know that – “WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE”
